What Is This All About?

One day I spotted a logo designer’s 365 day long project on Twitter. Starting out with the first day of the project costing clients $1 and day 365 costing $365, he was designing logos for different companies. One logo a day. I thought the idea was absolutely brilliant, and it stayed with me.

The more I thought about it, the more I wanted to do something similar with my photography. But what to do, what to do…

As I thought about it one night, I realized it had to be something that didn’t conflict with my normal wedding & portrait photography. Then I saw a tweet from @weSLGT, and it all came to me! I’m all about Support Local, Grow Together, and what better way to contribute than to offer up my photography services to other Houston-area businesses?

So there you have it. Buy a day, get me! A week or two in advance, I’ll come to your place of business or you can come to my studio, and we’ll do a 30-45 minute photography session. I’ll also ask you to provide marketing information or a press release of some sort what you would like me to share with the world about your company. I’ll edit the photos and create an online gallery for you of the images, where you can download the files or choose to have prints made. When your day that you purchased comes up on the calendar, I’ll write a blog post about you & your business, featuring my favorite photographs, with a link to your site.

To sum up what you get:
- 30-45 minutes of photography (valued at $200-300/hour)
- A minimum of 5 High-Resolution edited JPG Image files with an license to use the images on your website, book cover, with press releases, advertisements, or whatever else you can think of to promote your business (normally $50+ license fee per image file depending on use.)
- A blog post here on the date that you purchased, and possibly on my other blogs as well, for lots of SEO & Google love! (can’t put a price on that!)

In case you’re wondering, you can choose to purchase multiple days to use for different things. You don’t have to be in the Greater Houston area, but if you’re more than 50 miles outside of downtown Houston you will be asked to pay travel fees. The only restrictions at this time is that the sessions are for business use only – no family portrait shoots, newborn sessions, boudoir sessions, or weddings. Have any questions? Let me know!

Such a great concept! As a former Houstonian knowing so many friends in business I am looking forward to seeing some familiar faces…beginning today with the incredible Sara Speer Selber…even without photo..:)
